ROGER IN ACTION.
ECONOMIC & JOB GROWTH. In the Senate, Roger helped secure some of the region's most effective economic initiatives, including regional air services in Manhattan; transportation projects for improved access; and the investment by NBAF. This year, Roger co-sponsored the "Kansas Works" plan, which gives Kansas a competitive edge over other states to attract jobs.
QUALITY EDUCATION. Roger has worked tirelessly in the Senate to champion responsible funding for education. Last year he helped K-State expand its engineering program and restore $43.7 million in K-12 school funding. Roger believes the path to economic success starts in the classroom.
FISCAL RESPONSIBILITY. Every year Roger has served in the Senate he has voted for a balanced budget while protecting essential services. He helped eliminate the inheritance tax on Kansas families, the corporate franchise tax on Kansas businesses, and income taxes on Social Security benefits for seniors.
MILITARY SUPPORT. With thousands of soldiers and their families living in the 22nd district, Roger knows the state must ensure these families have the resources they need while their loved ones are away.
